Biography

Plácido Benavides was a Texan.

In 1828, Benavides moved to Victoria, Texas with his brothers Ysidro, Nicolás and Eugenio.

He fought in the Battle of Agua Dulce Creek, the Siege of Bexar in the fall of 1835. He even sent a warning to Bowie at the Alamo regarding the approaching Mexican Army.
